PJ Whelihan's Opens Two Locations Inside Wachovia Center
Comcast-Spectacor, owners of the Wachovia Center, today announced a new partnership with PJ Whelihan’s, in which the popular restaurant chain will now feature two locations off the main concourse of the 21,000-seat arena. The first location, behind section 107 off the main concourse, formerly was the microbrewery when the arena first opened in 1996. This location features delicious, mouth-watering fresh carved roast beef sandwiches, along with cold beer from Michelob, Bass, Shock Top, Amber Bock, Bare Knuckle Stout, Bud Light, and others.
The second location, behind section 119 off the main concourse, is a dedicated concession stand serving their world-famous, finger-licking Boneless Buffalo Wings, soft drinks, and various selections of cold draft beer.
“PJ Whelihan’s is a terrific restaurant with an outstanding brand which our fans can instantly identify with each and every time they visit the Wachovia Center,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. “Our fans enjoy coming to the arena early, as well as staying later, and PJ’s provides us with the perfect amenities to suit our fans needs and desires.”
“This is an incredible opportunity for us to brand our name and our products to the millions of fans who attend events at the Wachovia Center every year,” said PJ Whelihans’ Jim Fris. “We hope when they are not attending an event they are watching all the games at PJ Whelihans.”
There are eight PJ Whelihan’s locations in the Greater Philadelphia Region. They are part of the PJW Restaurant Group.
