Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm which owns the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers, has created a series of recession buster offers to encourage fans to attend upcoming hockey and basketball games, as well as other events, at the Wachovia Center. Additionally, the company will offer special last-minute ticket deals similar to those offered via airlines or Broadway tickets.

These “Recession Busters” special offers are available via the team websites – philadelphiaflyers.com and sixers.com – and through WachoviaCenter.com.
 
“We recognize that people have many different options for their entertainment dollars,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. “We have created a series of packages, special offers, added value and other incentives which will provide all of our fans with an affordable opportunity to enjoy the Flyers or the Sixers.”

In addition, Comcast-Spectacor has created a new Flyers and Sixers combination package which includes two tickets to an upcoming Flyers hockey game and an upcoming Sixers basketball game for only $100. This offer is available only at the Recession Buster site.
 
Comcast-Spectacor will also send notification to customers of special last-minute offers which fans can register for via the team’s websites.
 
“Some of these special offers will be very similar to the way the airlines offers last minute ticket deals and special offers,” added Luukko. “Fans who register for the ‘Buzzer Beater’ offers will receive notification via email at various times throughout the season.”

Family Packs

A family of four can enjoy any Sixers basketball game with four hot dogs, four soft drinks and four movie passes from Fandango – a value of almost $300 - for only $76 (upper level seats) or $150 (lower level seats).

A family of four can also attend a Flyers hockey game with four tickets and four Flyers hats, courtesy of McDonald’s - a value of almost $400 for only $100.

The Flyers offer the Lehigh Valley Farms Family Section, featuring a specially priced $10 kids ticket and a $20 adult ticket.

Guys Night Out

This popular ticket package includes four tickets, four beers, four hot dogs, four calendars, four Dave & Buster’s Power Cards – a value of almost $400 - for only $175 (lower level seats) and $125 (upper level seats).

Ladies Night Out
