Comcast Spectacor is inviting the public to a free, open-house birthday party at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, October 8 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. to celebrate the arena’s 20th anniversary. In addition to games, attractions, celebrity appearances, and party favors, fans can step onto the arena floor and take a shot on the Philadelphia Flyers goal or Philadelphia 76ers basket in a unique, first-time-ever half-ice, half-court arena floor configuration.

All tickets are free and can be downloaded now at WellsFargoCenterPhilly.com.

During the open-house, fans can stand in front of commemorative championship banners which will be lowered for photo purposes, or visit the penalty box, and selected locker rooms. Fans will also have the opportunity to win tickets to upcoming events at Wells Fargo Center with ticket giveaways set to happen every 20 minutes.

"This is really an opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ to the community, as well as our customers for their loyalty during these past 20 years,” said Comcast Spectacor’s John Page, President, Wells Fargo Complex. “This will be a special year at the Wells Fargo Center as we look back and celebrate our history with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.”

In addition to the Philadelphia Flyers celebrating their 50th anniversary and the Philadelphia 76ers celebrating the 50th anniversary of their first championship (1966-67), Villanova Men’s Basketball, the defending NCAA National Champions, and the Philadelphia Soul, the defending Arena Bowl Champions, will all play home games at the Wells Fargo Center during the 2016-17 season.
