Comcast Spectacor has launched a major marketing campaign in the Philadelphia region to highlight the “New Wells Fargo Center," which has been completely re-imagined through the company's multi-year, $400 million transformation project, one of the most significant arena renovation projects anywhere in the country.  The campaign is highlighted by a 30 second commercial, which will run on both local TV broadcasts and digital channels, a new microsite, social media advertising, out-of-home advertising, and more. As the arena transformation project concludes, Comcast Spectacor is also focused on major development plans in the Sports Complex.

"The New Wells Fargo Center has been completely transformed, and we're excited to show everyone that we have a brand new, world-class venue right here in the heart of Philadelphia's famous Sports Complex," said Christine Mina, Vice President of Content and Digital Marketing for Comcast Spectacor.  "From basketball and hockey to concerts, lacrosse and more, the New Wells Fargo Center offers the best guest experience in the industry with new technology, new designs, and new features that you won't find in other new arenas. As we kick off hockey and basketball seasons, we have a pretty simple message for our fans here in Philadelphia: you've got to come check out the New Wells Fargo Center for yourself."

“Comcast Spectacor has always been committed to the city of Philadelphia, and as we conclude the transformation of the New Wells Fargo Center, we’re also very excited about the plans we have to turn the Sports Complex into a world-class sports and entertainment district, so there’s more to come,” said Georgieann Michels, Vice President of Marketing for Comcast Spectacor.  “Comcast Spectacor has long been an important part of Philadelphia’s culture and economy, and we plan to build on that legacy of making smart, civic minded investments that will benefit the City of Philadelphia for decades to come.”

Just last week, the New Wells Fargo Center unveiled the final step in the transformation of the arena’s interior with the brand new Event Level, which includes state-of-the-art locker rooms and player and performer facilities. The Event Level overhaul is one of the critical, final phases of the arena’s $400+ million Transformation project. This phase marks a $30 million investment and completely redesigned 46,000 square feet inside the arena, with over 16,000 square feet dedicated to new locker rooms for both the 76ers and the Flyers.

The New Wells Fargo Center’s Transformation project is fully privately funded by Comcast Spectacor. This past summer, the arena released renderings of the exterior upgrades which are currently underway. The Transformation project, which supports hundreds of jobs and union roles in South Philadelphia, has ensured that the New Wells Fargo Center will remain a world-class venue for hockey, basketball, and more for decades to come. The New Wells Fargo Center is also a key anchor of South Philadelphia’s revitalization and the city's unique Sports Complex.

The New Wells Fargo Center’s Transformation project is one of the most significant arena projects anywhere in the world. In addition to the arena being completely re-imagined, the New Wells Fargo Center has brought in some of the biggest names in Philadelphia’s restaurant scene including Marc Vetri, Jose Garces, and Stephen Starr. The arena introduced brand-new seats throughout the arena, including extra-comfortable loge seats, open concept spaces like the Assembly Room, and great, customized sightlines for both basketball and hockey.
