Today, Wells Fargo Center announced its vision for the arena’s brand-new, $50+ million Club Level, which is set to open for the start of the Flyers and 76ers seasons in the Fall of 2022. The new Club Level, which will instantly become Philadelphia’s premiere sports and entertainment experience, will be themed to honor Philadelphia’s rich sports and entertainment past while also showcasing the newest technologies and entertainment experiences. This new Club Level is part of Wells Fargo’s Center $300+ million Transformation project, fully funded by Comcast Spectacor, which is slated to be completed in the summer of 2023.

The multi-year Wells Fargo Center Transformation project has seen nearly every corner of the arena upgraded and reimagined. Highlights include: the world’s first Kinetic 4K center-hung scoreboard; a redesigned main concourse with a re-conceptualized approach to dining and social interaction; the upper level which now includes unique viewing options like the Assembly Room, BetRivers.com Sports Lounge, Revolutionary Row, and Liberty Lofts; the arena’s first-ever exclusive event-level club, the Center City Club; and a major makeover for the Mezzanine Level.

“The new Club Level at Wells Fargo Center will celebrate the iconic sports and music moments that have taken place right here on South Broad Street while also looking to the future,” said President of Wells Fargo Center, Valerie Camillo.  “When we set out to transform Wells Fargo Center, we sought to balance a respect for our history and traditions with a goal to modernize the arena to meet the evolving expectations of our guests. The Club Level redesign is the latest phase in our effort to deliver exceptional amenities, technologies, and guest service—while never forgetting what makes Philadelphia sports the best in the world.”

“This Fall, when the doors open on a new season of events at Wells Fargo Center, we want our guests to be blown away by the transformation of our Club Level. With the interior redesign of the arena complete by the end of 2022, Philadelphia sports and entertainment lovers will have an arena on par with any new building in the world,” Camillo added. “The Wells Fargo Center Transformation project – including the new Club Level – is part of a historic investment in South Philadelphia. We’re funding this arena Transformation project entirely with private dollars, and on a scale that no other arena has matched, making this the boldest transformation project in the history of sports arenas. We’re not done, either. We are committed to and investing in the Stadium District, and in 2023, we will both transform the exterior of the arena and hope to break ground on exciting mixed-use developments right next door.”

Features in the new Club Level will include:

  • Celebrity Chef Program: Philly is home to some of the best chefs and dining experiences in the world, and the new Wells Fargo Center’s Club Level will feature some of the top names from the city’s culinary scene. A central place to socialize with clear sightlines to the ice, court or stage, these bars will be themed around one of the central features of a working two-team arena: the changeover, the switch from an ice surface to a basketball court (or concert) that takes place at the arena between events. The East and West bars will present a behind-the-scenes look at the changeover process, while serving as a living manifestation of the process itself. The bars will themselves transform between Flyers, Sixers and concert events, presenting a totally unique experience, look, and feel. Some of the changeover features of the bar include:
      • Signature bar top tables will change from an icy surface for the Flyers to a painted/lined maple hardwood top for the 76ers depending on which team is playing that night
      • Life-size holograms of Flyers, 76ers, or musical stars will welcome guests to the bars depending on the event
      • 26 cutting-edge, transparent OLED displays located behind the main bars which will display a time lapse of the arena changeover process and additional content throughout events
      • Full transformation of digital content in the club, customized to each team and brand, brought to life on more than 300 screens located throughout the bars
      • Side bars, LED screens, and more will be lit with different team colors and artist themes
      • Team-specific cocktail offerings
  • Two other themed bars will also debut this Fall for all premium seating patrons. One will honor the legacy of the Spectrum and the other will a focus on the sports and entertainment history of Wells Fargo Center.
